Questions You Should Never Ask Your Social Media Manager

Posted on February 14, 2017   |    by admin   |   No Comments   |   General

As we have established and now it is become widely known that social media management is, in fact, a full-time job. Social media management is an actual profession that people take seriously. The job entails managing content as well as producing it and essentially, becoming a voice for a brand. People, including employers, aren’t aware of how much of a challenge it may be. There is a few big no no’s that you should never ask your social media managers, here they are and why. . .

Can You Post This Right This Second?
Your social manager, shouldn’t be just posting things out of nowhere or whatever they feel like at any moment. There are reasoning and a strategy to the content and the posting of the content. Timing is everything and when you ask your social manager to post something, tell them that the particular piece of content you’re posting is a priority, don’t just ask for them to post it right away.

Make This Go Viral?
LOL, so the answer is no. We can boost the posts and run spectacular campaigns, but there is no guarantee that the post will go viral. Posts that go viral go viral out of literally nowhere. A boosted post gives your content a fighting chance for that, but there is no way to guarantee viral posts.

Why Haven’t We Gotten On ____?
A social media manager has X amount of time. This is the same thing with any person with a career. Your manager is probably juggling three different social media platforms. Adding another social media platform isn’t an outrageous idea, take into consideration the fact that each platform has to fit into the strategy and that it will spread your manager’s time pretty thin.
